This is an article about the Blue GT.
Sorry to keep you waiting!
You must have thought I'd definitely do it.
(Huh? Who would?)
It's time for the long-awaited muffler replacement!
(No one was waiting...)
(I was the only one waiting.)
I really don't hate the OEM muffler.
It's very stylish!
The sound doesn't sound like it's OEM!
But!
I'm a sucker for aftermarket parts!
Sorry!
So now it's time to get to work.
First, remove the heat guard.
Remove this one bolt...
Slide it back and it will come off.
It feels like a claw is caught on the protrusion on the top of the silencer.
It will pop out like this.
Then loosen the muffler band,
and loosen the bolt that holds the silencer in place.
Loosen those two points and remove the bolts,
and the silencer will be free.
Pull it out carefully so as not to damage the gasket.
Picture of it removed
It's so tiny compared to the Hayabusa!
Even though the displacement is only about 3/4.
It takes up less storage space♪
It took up a ton of space when it was on the Hayabusa,
so surely it's only about 1/8 the volume???
If you look at the body side of the exhaust pipe,
you can see the exhaust control valve.
This is what makes it so quiet.
Ah, I want to cancel it (lol)
No, no... no.
I went to the trouble of getting a test muffler!
(I always struggle with this lol)
This throttle-like thing opens and closes the valve.
Is there anything better? (lol)
By the way, the gasket in the photo.
I will reuse it at my own risk.
I've only driven it 200km (lol)
So? Where's the new muffler?!
Here it is!!!
Of course, this is YOSHIMURA.
Yay♪
I was excited, but...
There's a part missing?!
When I looked closely at what I thought was trash...
Hmm???
Ahh!!!
There it is! It was hidden (lol)
It's not in the station .
I don't think that's the case, but
I pulled myself together and rearranged everything!
Sorry if it's messier than before.
I mean, I haven't opened it yet so I don't really know what to do!
So here's a photo of a regrettable mistake.
To install, assemble it as instructed,
insert the silencer into the body,
and bolt it to the back of the pillion step!
But why is there a female thread on the back of the pillion step?
Is it for installing an aftermarket muffler?
At first, I didn't know there was a female thread here,
and was confused as to where to fasten the bolt (male thread) (lol)
(I guess I should have read the instructions)
And here it is, safely!
Wow!!!
So cool!!!
It's already the best!
Or so I thought?
I realized I was being hasty.
I completely forgot to put on the heat guard. (lol
I didn't want to get burned so I installed it.
Be careful because you're using the genuine bolts here.
The back side of the photo is the genuine one, and the front is the accessory.
It turns black and tightens up.
A carbon tail!
This is so tempting!
Carbon is 10 billion percent justice!
The silencer is a Metal Magic Cover. It's made of stainless steel to ensure durability.
It's also specially etched and painted.
(This gives it a carbon look)
I'm already in love with it.
I can't stop changing mufflers!
This is the moment when you think that (lol
By the way, about the volume...
The genuine one is already at its fullest,
so even if you change it, it doesn't make much difference (lol
Maybe the bass is a little thicker?
When you turn it, you get excited.
It's like adding flavor to the good sound that already exists.
Ahh...
I can't stop.
